Interior design quality is all in the details
Whenever I photograph an interior, I like to be able to supply a range of images showcasing the design of the space and the quality of the finish. It is all about the details!
The new headquarters of a global private equity firm in Carlton Gardens, London, was by far the most impressive offices that I photographed last year. There is a minimalist approach to the design with an emphasis on high-quality materials and finishes. The project encompassed 24,000 sq ft over two floors and was project managed by CBRE with tp bennett as the architects and Overbury as the fitout company.
Leather panels and bronze inset skirting details in the common areas were offset by stone flooring and timber panelling. Chevron engineered wood flooring was implemented throughout, being supplied, and installed by Loughton Contracts.
Continuing the theme of a high-end finish, the detailing around the lifts was optimised by a 5mm bronze trim. The lighting has been designed with a mixture of functional spots, wall sconces and feature pendant lights. The furniture was supplied by Spacecraft.
High-quality materials can have a significant psychological impact on visitors, influencing their perceptions of your business. Carlton Gardens has the right balance of sophistication and professionalism, presenting the company as being well established in its industry and forward-thinking.
