The Extra Shots
After the hero shots that showcase the interior design of the space, the details that capture the quality of the build and materials, there are always the extras – photographs of the feature areas that are listed on the photography brief.
I always work with the client in advance of the photoshoot to ensure that we capture the essence of the design. This means discussing the project in advance, working up a photography brief, and sometimes photographing alongside someone from the team.
Studio Stockholm Arkitectekur delivered the newly refurbished headquarters for a global investment giant in London with a whole list of feature spaces including collaborative work areas, quiet zones, and agile/hybrid workstations. The London headquarters is set over three floors with a specialist feature staircase connecting them all and with circadian rhythm lighting throughout. The build was managed by Storey with Barr Gazetas as the collaborating architects and Corley + Woolley Limited being the main contractor.
The team has achieved a score of 45/45 for the CCS, with the project being Net Zero Carbon, achieving WELL Platinum and is Social Enterprise UK Certified. The result is a beautifully designed, healthy, and sustainable space.
