In today’s dynamic work environment, the pursuit of innovation and adaptability in the workplace has never been more critical.
As we move through 2024, the trend towards hybrid working is stabilising, with organisations integrating and refining their policies. Successful hybrid work depends heavily on the physical workplace, urging a rethink of office design to align with these patterns.
I photographed the new BMB Agency London headquarters for Tetris Design and Build. When I discussed the project in advance of the photoshoot, the design team explained that they had approached the design of this project to create an environment that is far more than a conventional office. The space had to be somewhere for ideas and collaboration to flourish, where meeting spaces are vibrant, sustainable and inclusive, and people are supported to think better, work better and live better. The new headquarters was to celebrate the work that they done, with memorabilia on display, but also to be somewhere that fosters energy and inspiration, happiness and playfulness, nurturing a sense of purpose that sparks fresh perspectives and drives a rich and defining company culture.
Forward-thinking design will invigorate the conventional office setting, creating a workplace dynamic that not only draws in but also deeply involves employees in 2024. Understanding the evolving design trends that shape our spaces can significantly impact productivity, employee well-being, and organisational culture.
