Norton Folgate – Blossom Yard Reception

Norton Folgate is a short length of street in London, within the Elder Street Conservation Area occupying a prominent position within The City Fringe between the City of London and Shoreditch.
Four architects have worked together: AHMM, Stanton Williams, Morris + Company and DSDHA, with the aim of repurposing the existing Georgian and Victorian warehouses and facades into modern offices, while preserving and showcasing their historic character and charm.
The 330,000 sq ft mixed use scheme is made up of six buildings ranging in size from 10,000 to 120,000 sq ft. with Blossom Yard as the beating heart of the redeveloped.
I was commissioned to photograph the finished area, capturing the architecture and interior design of several of the buildings beginning with the stunning reception.
Blossom Yard’s 4,199 Sq ft lounge reception incorporates a variety of workspaces with casual seating for flexible working options and meetings. Guests are welcomed by a reception desk designed by AHMM and crafted with strong reference to the history of the site with bespoke floral printed tiles from William Morris Design. There is also an all-day dining restaurant that opens straight into the space.
QOB Interiors were appointed by British Land to advance the Stage 2+ information to completion under a Design & Build agreement. This involved collaboration with Studio Ghazal to progress the reception designs from AHMM.
