British Photography Awards

Awards

I have been shortlisted for the British Photography Awards in two categories – “Documentary” & “Self Portrait”.

My “Documentary” photography shortlisted entry features Microsoft’s Project Natick.

Our internet consumption has an indirect emission which has an unseen cost. The amount of energy consumed by the world’s data centres – the repositories for billions of gigabytes of information. Project Natick is Microsoft’s research into the feasibility of an underwater data centre, to determine whether it is logistically, environmentally, and economically practical.

My “Self Portrait” was photographed on a family “Staycation” holiday in the Lake District during the pandemic.

The British Photography Awards celebrates excellence in British-based image making from all over the world. It is a charity-oriented competition where all the proceeds from the awards go to a list of good causes, and the events are funded through corporate sponsorship.

I am looking forward to attending the black-tie ceremony in London on 10th of November 2023 where the winners will be announced.
