Office Space that reflects the company’s brand and values

Architecture, Commercial

Last year I photographed the new headquarters of a global private equity firm in Carlton Gardens near Pall Mall. The project encompassed 24,000 sq ft over two floors and was project managed by CBRE with tp bennett as the architects and Overbury as the fitout company. This was by far the most impressive offices that I photographed in 2023 with the reception area establishing an overarching quality from the very beginning.

The space has been designed with the client meeting rooms running along each side of the building. Each meeting room has access to the balconies that run the full stretch of the building and have pergolas draped in wisteria along with large planters, for a more relaxed breakout space.  At the end of the building is the main boardroom which has its own large balcony with seating.

The individual offices and cellular open plan offices are situated on the second floor, along with additional meeting rooms and a large breakout area. The scheme features a full working kitchen including a private dumb waiter.

Chevron engineered wood flooring was implemented throughout, while wet room showers were finished with slate flooring, alongside marble walls with bronze trim details. Planters were used as an ecological way to segregate work areas. Leather panels and bronze inset skirting details in the common areas were offset by stone flooring and timber panelling. Continuing the theme of a high-end finish, the detailing around the lifts was optimised by a 5mm bronze trim.
