Portraits of Resilience – 26 June – A conversation

Exhibition, Humanitarian

On the 26 June, International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, the EEAS and United Against Torture Consortium hosted a conversation between Olof Skoog (Deputy Secretary General of the EEAS), humanitarian photographer Jonathan Banks, and survivors of torture from around the world. Survivors speaking not only about what they experienced — but also of accountability and justice.
“Survivors are the strongest and most effective voice in the campaign to abolish torture.”
“Portraits of Resilience” is presented in collaboration with British photographer Jonathan Banks, TASSC International, REDRESS, Freedom from Torture and the survivors.

The exhibition is open at the EEAS, Brussels, until 4 September.
