The”Global Good Awards” recognises the ‘Tubeho Neza’ programme in Rwanda

Awards, Commercial, Editorial, General, Humanitarian

A massive congratulations to DelAgua for being awarded silver in the ‘Technology for Good’ category at the Global Good Awards.

The award recognises DelAgua’s innovative application of technology which drives the Live Well programme’s success. Their tech manages the complexity of distributing hundreds of thousands of stoves to remote rural communities efficiently, enables accurate tracking of stove location and usage and collects data essential to the integrity of the carbon credits generated which fund the programme.

I worked with DelAgua at the beginning of their carbon credit project called Tubeho Neza (“Live Well”), travelling in Rwanda to photograph the distribution days, community health worker visits and how the program is improving the lives of those involved.

The photography went on to form a major part of DelAgua’s marketing awareness campaign being published in the “Tubeho Neza” book and featuring in a number of magazines. I was also a winner with the photography, at the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards.

Founded in 2015, the GLOBAL GOOD AWARDS reward businesses, NGOs, charities and social enterprises of all shapes and sizes around the world, that are blazing the trail for purpose-driven sustainability and ethical leadership. They recognise leaders who are achieving practical, real-world impact that is both scalable and replicable – and who have inspiring stories to tell.
