About this photograph
Cruachan Power Station in Scotland was built almost 6 decades ago, by a workforce who blasted and drilled their way through the mountain’s granite core. They were known as the “Tunnel Tigers” for their ferocious work ethic and bravery. The current engineers are now moving mountains to achieve Scotland’s net zero target of 2045. Photographed for DRAX Global.
