The First Light Pavilion at Jodrell Bank in the UK is based on a modern re-working of the Meridian Line and features a curved entrance that mirrors the arc of the sun. Hassell Architects designed the pavilion as a grassy mound rising from the landscape.
The Nobu Hotel is a bold architectural statement that occupies a tight urban plot in the heart of London’s most vibrant neighbourhood. Ben Adams Architects took over the beginnings of the project from the concept architects, Ron Arad. Combining local authenticity, material sophistication and integrated urban design it cements its place in east London’s evolving cultural and architectural landscape.
The Batumi Hilton Hotel and residences is a mixed-use development comprising of two towers: a 21-storey hotel tower for Hilton International and a 19-storey residential tower. CallisonRTKL architects designed the development as a feature for the city, that respects the environment and embraces the rich culture and heritage of the area.
The Tree of Trees sculpture was designed by Heatherwick Studios as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Situated outside of Buckingham Palace, London, the sculpture was part of a national community campaign to plant more trees.
Originally built in 1992 to designs by GMW Partnership, The Minster Building has recently been redeveloped by the architects, BuckleyGrayYeoman. A new entrance on the corner of Mincing Lane and Great Tower Street leads to the reception with an eight-storey central atrium. This sets the tone and material palette for the rest of the development, with curved glazing, textured jesmonite panels, marble and bronze combining to create an opulent, airy and uplifting ambiance.
The ICON Outlet at the O2 Arena is CallisonRTKL’s masterplan for a leisure and entertainment district in London. The ceiling treatment within the space is a unique feature to the site, designed to create a sense of light, space and tranquillity. Clever use of LED lighting enables the tone and look and feel of the development to shift depending on the time of day.

Two separate screen walls guide visitors to the entryway, evoking a sense of exploration and discovery.

The Outlet Village in Dubai is an indoor retail destination developed by Meraas that offers a value shopping experience in a distinctive and stunning environment. Located adjacent to Dubai Parks and Resorts and within easy reach of Abu Dhabi the outlet village has become a destination for visitors. The architects CallisonRTKL designed the Outlet Village with an innovative approach to construction housing over 125 luxury retail brands, three department stores, and a range of international dining.
The Mall of Egypt has been designed by CallisonRTKL as a consumer engagement space with a sense of community created out of the entertainment, experiences, and services which are offered. It is no longer a place for retailers to push out product offerings into a mass market but somewhere which has a pull-marketing approach orchestrated around the needs and interests of an increasingly diverse consumer market, segmented by age, ethnicity, and locality.
Located in Cairo’s modern 6th of October district, the Mall of Egypt has been designed by the architects CallisonRTKL as a destination to LEED Silver standards and is intended to foster a family-centred sense of community. The two-level centre includes a hypermarket, global flagship retail, a range of dining options, and exceptional entertainment venues including a cinema complex, the first indoor snow park in Africa and Magic Planet entertainment.
The Argo complex is a 2km long aerial tramway linking the heart of Batumi’s waterfront which is situated on Georgia’s Black Sea coast, to the Argo entertainment centre developed on Anuria Mountain. At 250 m (820 ft) above sea level, this sightseeing centre provides visitors with some unmatched views of the city, the Black Sea and the surrounding mountains. The architects Callison RTKL designed the entertainment centre to give the viewer the impression of being on a ship using symbols from the boat by which mythical Jason and Argonauts sailed to Kolchida. The Vela Tower is clad in aluminium panels with rich golden glass windows.

The Thames Quarter Building has 315 apartments spread across the building’s 12-storey and 23-storey sections, which provide a variety of amenity spaces. The residents have access to a gym / wellness studio, an in-house cinema, communal lounge areas, dining rooms, landscape upper-level terraces and a tech hub workspace area. CRTKL delivered the concept design and planning submission for a build-to-rent development in close proximity to Reading railway station.
The Architects Child Graddon Lewis’s award-winning Leeds Dock design for Allied London is the public realm masterplan and redevelopment of a prime dockside site in the West Yorkshire city, creating a new retail, work and leisure destination. The project has transformed a formerly failing site into a vibrant city centre village and features over a dozen low-cost initiatives, including new retail areas, contemporary workspaces, a street food hub, external seating areas and a range of bold public realm interventions.
8 Canada Square (or the HSBC Tower) is the global headquarters of the HSBC Group. Foster + Partners were originally appointed as the architects as they had designed their previous head office in Hong Kong. The interior has since been updated by the architects tp bennet to take advantage of it’s increasingly spectacular views as you climb the levels.
3 Moorgate Place has a rich history and was once the HQ of Ocean Accident & Guarantee Corp. It has recently undergone a substantial refurbishment designed by tp bennett architects.

The project involved the substantial refurbishment and reconstruction of three separate buildings to provide approximately 62,789 sq ft (5,833 sq m) of ‘best in class’ Grade A office accommodation arranged over lower ground, ground and six upper floors.

York House in Kings Cross London is a 1980s office building that has been modified by architects dmfk. The award-winning redevelopment used a structurally self-supporting perforated brick lattice for the façade, set on a 45-degree angle. This arrangement is visually striking and economical, reducing the need for additional supports and using half of the bricks of a traditional façade.

The Museum building at the AELTC Wimbledon was designed by DLA Architecture using an architectural language that combines heritage and excellence alongside modernity and functionality. Ultimately the architects had to deliver an improved but still recognisable “quintessentially Wimbledon” building.
